Career Management Consultant | Leadership Development | Develop People for Success

Summary

Marti Muller
If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it. (William Arthus Ward)
I appreciate you taking the time to review my profile. So…who am I? I often refer to myself as a 'travel agent' for career decision, guiding professionals in their exploration of life options. My goal is to develop people for personal and company success.

When I first talk with a professional, I often suggest to them that my primary role is to ‘get them where they want to go’. My passion is to help each person identify what is important right now, what’s next, and how to get there, be it staying in the same field, a career change or alternative life options, and as one of my candidates said “… being the voice of clarity when things get confusing.”

Right Management has recognized me for the quality of my consulting. I provide career counseling to candidates at all levels across a broad spectrum of disciplines and industries. I also facilitate workshops, including virtual, related to career and change management, with special interest in Career Assessments, Retirement/Life Options and Career Change. One of my workshop participants said of me “You have an uncanny ability to bring people into the conversation and keep them engaged.”

I relish change and found it during my prior human resources management experience in diverse industries, having worked with companies impacted by merger, relocation, explosive growth or transformational leadership.

Questions & Answers

What made you choose your current profession?
I have always been interested in Career Development. Some examples would be including Career Development courses in my Master's Degree curriculum; initiating a Career Development Program at a Healthcare company that introduced employees to different roles within the organization; or coaching employees as their manager to excel in their own roles and stretch themselves. At one of my own career crossroads, I realized that what gave me the most satisfaction was developing people for personal and career success. I live for those 'aha' moments as a result of training, exploring career options or identifying next steps in their career.
